NATURE MORTE
2004-2008 I have always been drawn to still lifes, and the satisfying and varied shapes of nature. Having explored colour through abstraction, I found it rather enjoyable to transpose that playfulness and freedom onto representational subjects. I also borrowed a little from cubism by altering the perspective and dividing the paintings into sections of tone and colour. (These paintings are a small selection of the full collection).
